About Depatment
The Department of Home Science was established in June 2000 Home Science is the most potential of the inputs that go in to the decision planning and development process of India. Proper execution and administration of the resources in the paramount, importance and need of the hour too. With recent policies and new challenges in socio – economic development the resources administration has added significance. To meet liberal economic policies of the Govt.
Demand a closer linkage between college and society. The former are called upon to reorient and redesign their courses to cater to the changing needs of the employment market. The development goals can be achieved and national productivity can increased only when the man power is properly recruited transmitted administered and politician on professional lines.
Strengths
Above 75% Result of Subject. Faculty Are Engaged In Research Activity, Working in Various Committees in the College.
Weakness
I) No P.G Course Available in the Department.
Opportunities
Job Opportunities Available In Social Sector, Hospital, Govt. Service, teaching Field & Various NGO, Voluntary Organization. Food Industries, Krushi Vidnyan Kendra etc.
Challenges
I) To prepare the student for self employment after Completion of Degree Course.
ii) Awareness of Various Job Opportunities in Home Science Subject.
iii) Awareness of Health & diseases in the society.
iv) To develop women empowerment skill in the students & women in the society.
Future Plan of Department:
1. To Organize Seminar, Conference & Work Shop.
2. To Conduct Village Survey to collect Primary data to understand the various rural Problems.
3. To Establish Well Departmental Library and Laboratory
4. To conduct the Minor or Major research Project.
5. To Organize Guest Lecture for Entrepreneurship Development of the student
6. To Organize workshop for the students.

Best Practices & Future Plan
Introduction
Our college has decided above activity. To implement this activity for school students our department decided to develop Nutritional awareness in school students. Home science is an inter disciplinary field of study that focuses on the various aspect of Home management, Human Development, Food & Nutrition, Textile and Clothing & Extension Education. It is a combination of Science and Arts deals with the management of resources and development of required to Welfare of the family. To implement afore said best practice we are selected Jaibhavani High School, Gadhi, Z.P primary school Nipani Javalka & Z.P School Gadhi Karkhana.

Home Science teaches people how to eat better food, dress up well, look after their homes and spend money and how to lead a happy home life. 1. The knowledge of Home Science improves the quality of life: the study of home science provides the homemaker with the knowledge and skills required to manage a home effectively. This activity is very important to create awareness about nutrition among school students. This activity is important to educate school students about multi-nutrient balanced diet, malnutrition, menstrual care for school girls.
Conclusion of the Best Practice
Through this best practice school students got information about various nutrients, their importance for our health, their function and also created awareness among students about health and personal hygiene.
